Proceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society

Sample Image.
The Edinburgh Mathematical Society was founded in 1883 and has published Proceedings since 1884. An annual volume is published, appearing in three parts in February, June and October, containing research papers on topics in a broad range of pure and applied mathematics and book reviews. The journal is published by CUP and administered by ICMS; it has a world-wide circulation, an illustrious international board (external link) of consulting editors, and an editorial board (external link) with a broad range of mathematical interests.

We have a complete digitised archive (external link) online at CUP, and all our issues (right back to the 1880's) are free to access 10 years after their publication.

Subscription information (external link) can be found from CUP; the Proceedings is available to members at a reduced rate.

How to submit a paper

Authors are encouraged to submit their papers electronically and in PDF format, although we will accept other formats such as TeX/LaTeX, .dvi, and postscript. Please send the appropriate files to pems@icms.org.uk, suggesting an appropriate Subject Editor (external link) if possible. Further submission details can be found here, or at the ICMS (external link) or CUP (external link) webpages.
