The History and Culture of the North British Functional Analysis Seminar (NBFAS)

The project is supported by the Edinburgh Mathematical Society Research Support Fund (EMS RSF).

This project is inspired by the meeting held at the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS), in Edinburgh in April 2018, which was dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the NBFAS.

In this project, Dr Houry Melkonian, a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences of the University of Exeter, interviews Prof John Ringrose, Prof T Alastair Gillespie and Prof Allan M Sinclair about the evolutionary phases of the NBFAS since the establishment (in 1968).
